Q: Has anyone not seen their baby on a 6 week ultrasound then seen it later on?

o I had betas confirming my pregnancy but I had an ultrasound at 6 weeks 6 days and they found nothing but a heavily lined uterus with a tightly closed cervix. No sign of ectopic and just not finding anything. My first day of lmp was 4/21/18 so that would put me at 7 weeks today. I had a positive opk on May 4th. Everything consistent with my dates. My hcg is doubling every 55ish hours and doctor says that’s good. Dr said he thinks my hcg is too low to see anything yet. Day of US it was 1972. Am I even pregnant? I have not bled but wth. Have any of you experienced this? I’m very worried

Bernice: I ended up having a follow up ultrasound and all they saw was anechoic structures- 3 of them to be exact. Which is what an early pregnancy starts out as (4 week pregnancy) the thought it was a molar pregnancy since I was 8 weeks at the time so they booked me for a D&C which I had June 28th. The lab work came back from it and it turns out it was an unexplainable miscarriage of triplets but my body never recognized the babies never grew so in the end they deemed it as a missed miscarriage. I pray yours has a much happier ending then mine. It was my second miscarriage in a row and we are currently taking a break from ttc to give my body a rest. Please let me know how your next ultrasound goes

I haven't had this personally but I've heard of women seeing something later on. My ultrasounds were always at 7wks with hcg over 90,000 so maybe your hcg is just too low. Sorry I don't have more advice on this. Good luck! Try to stay positive. Your hcg doubling time correctly is a good sign though so there's still hope!

Unfortunately it was both. And even on the transvaginal they still couldn’t see anything. I’m not sure if having a backwards tilting uterus would effect anything or I’m really off on my dates but I had a positive opk on May 5th so I really don’t know whether to give up hope or not for this pregnancy

What kind of ultrasound was it? Abdominal or transvaginal? I wouldn't expect them to see anything if it were abdominal. You are pregnant though based on your hcg levels.
