Q: Light brown spotting after BFP?

I know this *can* be normal, but it is not normal for me. This is my 4th pregnancy and I've never had even a small spot after getting a positive HPT.

BFP @ 9dpo, brown spotting yesterday @10dpo and again today @11dpo. More today than yesterday; yesterday was only when I wiped, today it is on my pantiliner. Tests are getting darker but I have a really bad feeling about this.

I have some abdominal cramping, but nothing too bad. Lower back pain too but I've had that in prior pregnancies.

I called my Dr. to try and get some Beta HCGs done, but in the meantime, can someone share their experience with this?

Positive AND negative experiences welcome. I don't want to get attached to this pregnancy if this has been a bad sign for others.

From my experience, none of my miscarriages were brown blood. It was definitely RED, clotty, and accompanied by intense cramping. For how early you are I think the mild cramping is totally normal. Likely still some implantation cramping, which is what I really think the brown spotting is too. While seeing any blood is never what we want, brown is definitely the most preferred. I truly don't think you have any cause for concern just from the brown blood, but I hope you're able to get in for some betas to ease your mind!
