Q: Third trimester - strange metallic taste in mouth/blurry vision?

All week I have been experiencing a terrible metallic taste in my mouth now accompanied by blurry vision? It's not an extreme blurred vision but enough to make me think I need some eyeglasses.
What could this be??
I've read about the possibility of gestational diabetes but results came back negative awhile ago..

The metallic taste is not uncommon but it tends to be more common in the first trimester. Try eating some acidic foods like pickles, tomatoes or citrus to clear it away, at least temporarily.

Blurry vision is also not uncommon in pregnancy, your eyes react to the hormones in your body and can change shape slightly. It's not actually recommended to go to the eye doctor during pregnancy just for the reason, you may end up paying for glasses you don't really need!

So neither symptom is likely something to worry about. However I would report both symptoms to your doctor/midwife at your next appointment, just to be on the safe side. If the vision blurring gets more extreme, you may want to call them for a checkup, it can be a sign of high blood pressure.
