I heard and saw the heartbeat at 7 weeks. They must have really good machines at my RE's office. Not everyone has that technology, but you should at least be able to see the flicker. Good luck.

I heard my baby's heartbeat at 8 weeks. It depends on how patient your doc is...if they will take the time to find it, then yes, you should be able to hear it! Good Luck!

I know that ultrasound SHOWS a heartbeat flickering as early as 6 weeks...but I think you can see it before you can hear it.

Funny how different things have such different answers. Last thing i read (i think it was what to expect when you're expecting...could be wrong) said that you would definitely be able to hear a heartbeat at that time, if not earlier.

I heard the heartbeat via doppler at 9.5 weeks BUT my midwife was very surprised, she says you have about a 25% chance of hearing it that early.
