I don't blame you. I wouldnt want to pay for an extra scan either.
Those scans only take between 20-45 minutes and I'm sure your sister would take the time to go with you if she knew how upset you are about it. It's an important scan and you don't want to miss out. Think of how much better you'll feel knowing that your LO is doing well and you hopefully even get the added bonus of knowing the gender. I know you have the work issue too, but you wouldn't have to take the whole day off (neither would he). Explain it to your work, I'm sure they'll help you out. Good luck and let us know what you decide:-)

Sadly we don't get dvd's here. You only have this option if you go for a private scan which costs between £120 and £200 and to be honest I just don't have that kind of money to be throwing away! We only get two sometimes three ultrasound pictures and a pat on the back lol
The only person that would be willing to go with me is my sister but she has school and a lot of important exams coming up and really needs all the time at school for studying etc and I don't want to drag her away from that.
My boyfriend is going to ask for tomorrow off but it is unlikely they will say yes as he was already off today (not wanting to go in just in case we got a call) also I'm thinking I may have trouble taking the time as I also took today off.
It's almost 15:00 and they close at 16:30 so I don't think I will be getting a scan today.
I'm just terrified of something going wrong which makes me scared of going at all!

Unless you want to wait weeks to get your scan, see if a friend or family member can go with you instead for moral support. I don't think you should put it off since they can't reschedule you anytime soon. I always had the option to purchase a dvd of my ultrasounds for $5.00. See if you can do this (ask when you get there) so you can share it with him when he gets home from work. You could also do something fun to reveal the gender to him when you show him the dvd. I know it's not the ideal situation, but don't miss out on getting it done because of the confusion with the dates. Good luck:-) I'm sure everything will be fine!

They told me there is no appointments today and I asked if they could contact me if there was any cancellations. A real stab in the dark there.
Also they dont have any other appointments for weeks. I can't face going alone tomorrow..

Thanks Danni, yeah I wouldn't even want to attend alone. This is our first baby and i'm terrified like i'm sure most people get that there might be something wrong. Plus it's an emotional time that I would like my partner to experience and he's pretty down in the dumps because he might not be able to go.
Keeping my fingers crossed and will let you know how it goes! xx

You are advised not to attend the 20 week scan alone (mainly due to this scan being the time they check to see if anything is wrong with baby, so they say to bring support just incase) I would call in the morning and explain the situation and say that your partner is unable to make Tuesday due to a misunderstanding of the date. I hope they got it wrong and your scan is tomorrow :) Good Luck

Well its my anomoly scan and the first scan that they are able to tell us the gender so yes.
Thats why I want my boyfriend there especially if they can tell the gender. The news doesnt seem as exciting when you arent there.
Im just keeping my fingers crossed that they will sympathise with me...heres hoping!

Thanks yeah its worth a chance. If we can't be seen I don't think I want to go alone so will just ask for another appointment.
Just noticed that we are due 7 days apart! :)

I am not sure.. they just called me the day before to confirm never got a letter or anything. I would just call and explain the situation and then ask if there is any cancellations if you could be considered for a call back. :) Hope it works out!
