Q: Strep Throat in early pregnancy - Should I be worried??

Has anyone had strep while pregnant? I was diagnosed this morning and they have prescribed me amoxicillan (sp?) and tylenol. I am about 4 weeks 2 days. Should these be ok?? I have left word with my OBGYN to double check. I had a fever of 100 earlier which was scaring me but now I'm down to 98 so hopefully it will stay away!

I had strep with my first. I refused any medication to be on the safe side. I didn't eat or drink a thing for 3 wks...I went to the Doc once a day for IV fluids and a prenatal injection. With my 2nd I had chronic ear infections and accepted the meds and both came out fine. Its your choice ultimately.

I had it twice. It turned out fine. No need to worry.

Thanks for the responses girls, you were giving me some comfort while I waited for the doctor to call. My OBGYN sounds like she isn't worried and wants me on the amoxicillan and tylenol.
