Q: Crazy cravings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi with my other pregnancies i craved and actually ate bath sponges yes by the plenty,i would go shopping with them in my pocket,and would have to buy them everytime i went shoppin.I was told it was because i had low iron that i ate these lol,anybody else ate or craved anything unusual :)

Sorry yes i've had iron tabs,syrup and injections into the muscle in my leg ouch,luckily not with all pregnancies :)

For the secret member all5 of my babies were fine full term 9lb + babies,all ppl crave different things some crazy things due to iron or other deficiencys,of course it doe'nt mean your wanting the craving more than your unborn,stupid woman.Your comment did make me laugh tho...HAPPY CRAVINGS LADIES :)

If you do experience pica symptoms, just be sure to let your healthcare provider know. As many of the ladies mentioned, they had iron or other mineral deficiencies. As for myself, I haven't had any really strange cravings so far...the biggest one was chili cheese fries and I also really craved strawberry ice cream:-) (boring, right? lol)

I haven't craved any "none" food items, but at the beginning i could not stop chomping on Ice Lollies... I read that craving ice was an iron deficiency, and low and behold I have now been prescribed iron tablets after my blood tests showed a deficiency. The body is a weird and wonderful thing!!!

I have heard of these strange cravings :) I have not however eaten anything odd but I do Crave lots of SOUR stuff, like Dry lemon soda, sour worms :) I also indulge on the sweet stuff every now and then but its dark chocolate bitter but sweet :D Like a few other members have said it could be a lack of iron, perhaps the doctors can give you some Iron tablets :) Good luck with all the cravings ladies these are normal yet odd :).... Hopefully you just consuming trace amounts of eraser and sponges hee hee...... H&H9 months..

You may have te cravings but you can't just eat sponges and erasers??? What the hell??? We are told we can't have eggs if they are undercooked what makes you think you can eat a sponge?? Omg see a doctor and get it sorted, surely your baby is more desirable than a craving !!!

With my first pregnancy I craved pink erasers and I would rub on them and chew on the shavings lol...When hubby would ask if i been into the erasers and I say no he usually Know i was telling a story because the evidence would be on my face or on my clothes lol... That was the weirdest craving I believe I ever had. This go around I just have the urge to go to a water park so badly but they do not open up until the end of may sooo i improvise by taking long showers lol...
