Q: 16 wks & 3 days,no movement or baby bump,about to lose my mind.

3 wks ago I posted the same question & now I'm back because the same problem is still here or not here...What gives??? i just don't get it....I was big with my other pregnancies..showed very quickly & now its like I don't feel pregnant...I hate this. Its my last pregnancy & I was looking forward to a belly & movement. I'm just so upset that I'm almost to my halfway point & instead of looking pregnant & feeling like it,I just look a little chunky...I bought all these clothes to prepare me & I'm still in my regular clothes...any other women in my position??

Yea, my 1st pregnancy I showed pretty soon..I think at 5 months & then the 3rd I was swollen as soon as the stick showed 2 lines lol...my 1st pregnancy I was feeling movement at 12 wks & with my 3rd I really don't remember when I started to feel movement....both of them stretched me like crazy so stretch marks are my friend lol my kids are 9 & 7 now...I'm going to say that maybe I'll start to look pregnant around week 20 since that's about the time your uterus is at the belly button, maybe it make me pop lol

I can tell you that on both of my previous pregnancies I did't show until I was a little over 7 months and as far as movement goes I didn't feel them until nearly 20 weeks. I now have a healthy 7 and 5 year olds. This third one seems to be the same way in pregnancy appearance. The only thing that's kind of annoying about the BAMM effect is the rapid accumulation of stretch mark and it tends to be unavoidable even with the religious rubbing of the cocoa butter :/

I'm sorry you are feeling so out of sorts but I'm not 100% sure I understand your question

Are you upset that a lack of belly could mean that you have miscarried? Because if so, you can go to the doctor and find that out right away

Or are you upset because you aren't showing?

every pregnancy is different. even for many pregnancies with the same woman. i have a friend who didn't even begin to show until she was in her 7th month. some babies just stay more toward the back of the body. nothing to worry about...but if you feel nervous about it, you could ask for an ultra sound to make sure everything is ok. and you will be able to see the baby moving on the ultrasound, even if you can't feel it.
