Thanks macsmommy, valuable advice, I wish I could ask the little guy/gal "Hey, are you gonna pee a lot??" and be prepared lol. It's mostly my in-laws and extended family who will wrinkle up their noses at me when I tell them, so I know I better be ready with an explanation (which I shouldn't need anyway, I'm the MOM!) Thank you again!

gDiapers were the first thing that we used with my DD as well but that didn't last long. Just make sure that you have enough inserts to double up if your child is a heavy wetter (DD would soak through the g's in less than an hour!). Other than that, they're great as far as versatility and ease of use. They're also daycare-friendly too! As far as other people, just tell them that you don't want toxic chemicals near your child's sensitive parts and leave it at that-that should shut most people up lol.

Thanks for the advice, I think we're going with the gDiapers. I researched them and like the thought of having options.

This is my first pregnancy so I have no experience, but I plan on using gDiapers. With them, you buy a cloth outer part and then you have the option of using cloth inserts or disposable/flushable biodegradable inserts. If you use their cloth inserts, you can also buy flushable liners that sit on top of the cloth insert and collect the poopy mess so that can just be removed and flushed easily. The wet mess leaks through to the cloth insert which you wash. The good thing about this too is that even if you use the cloth inserts, you could always buy the disposable inserts for going out as they may be easier to deal with than having to bring home a messy diaper. gDiapers are the cloth diapers I've seen in stores and unfortunately only at "health" stores like Wegmans or Whole Foods so depending where you live it could be hard. As far as ammunition goes, cloth diapers are more environmentally friendly and cause less diaper rash than plastic diapers :)
