Q: So scared of ultrasound

Well I switched doctors..my first appt is in 1 wk they said I'll be having an u/s done at this appt to see how far I am. I should be around 5wks4days..I'm so worried I know what we went through when I m/c all ultrasounds only showed a sac. My first u/s was done about the same time and I knOw that's early and it's normal to not see anything but scared that if there's no fetal pole or yolk sac I'll just assume the worse instead of trying to stay positive like last time. I need help dealing with this. After having a m/c it seems like being positive is pushed aside and taken over by fear and worry.

I am 5 weeks into my pregnancy and seeing my doctor for my first prenatal visit next Friday. I am not sure if we're going to have an ultra sound, but I too am experiencing fear as I m/c earlier this year. Be sure to think the best. See your baby healthy and growing inside of you. That is my method. I pray that everything goes well.

I understand completely how you feel! I am 10 wks into my second pregnancy and so far so good but I have been so nervous the entire time, we were a little different we saw our baby and heard the herbeat and by next visit we had lost the baby but my body hadn't caught up wth what had happend. I have another u/s on thursday but I am still nervous. A good friend of mine has five chidren but has had about that many m/c in between and when I asked her how she dealt with the in bewteen she told me to just enjoy it that you can't predict the future and what will happen will happen but these are moments you just can't get back so my point bein that as scary as the unknown is try to be cautiously optimistic. I am positive that you will still be nervous and anxiety filled during these next few weeks as you hopefully get past what you reached last time as I know I will. I wish you the best of luck with this pregnancy!
