Q: Stretch Marks..!

From the moment of my LMP i started getting stretch marks, so ive literally been bathing in Palmers cocoa butter and Bio oil for the last 12 weeks, but they arent fading and more just keeps coming.

Ive got them on my hips, all over thighs and breasts, its really depressing me to the point i dont like to let my OH see me undressed. Plus im off to Spain next month and i really like to wear a bikini and shorts, basically feel proud of my little bump and body.

Any recommendations on stretch mark creams, or anything that actually work?

Also anyone tried Johnsons&Johnsons stretch mark cream?

Thanks

Honestly, and I worked for three years as a beauty advisor, if you have them NOW, you will have them for the remainder of the pregnancy. :/ BUT

There is a few things you can do after you give birth. There is a cheap fade lotion, called Ambi. Works wonders. Do that after you give birth twice a day, for about two weeks.

And use Bio oil after for whenever and during the pregnancy to keep the skin from getting REALLY bad.

I have one stretch mark from last time, right on my panty line and under my C section scar, that is about an inch wide, Got it two weeks before delivery. That one, sadly never left. But with the other things, I have like no stretch marks from last time, only new ones from this one. My boobs look great and my skin is still soft.

Hope this helps!

I got stretch marks from puberty too, but they faded into skin coloured lines/scars after using 1 small bottle of bio oil. But this time i just feel 10x worse, hormones are playing a big role in this depression im getting and im embarrassed to tell midwife how i feel cause i know its normal and loads of people get them.

Thanks for advice, i have tried to eat healthier but i cant stop eating luckily im still my pre-pregnancy weight just bloated and wider hips.

I was told nothing would help... skin can only stretch so far (for every woman that is different) No cream could change the elastisaty your skin has :(

I put palmers coco butter on my belly and the sides soon as I found out I was pregnant with my first and I still go them on the sides not the front of belly which is good but I still was hoping that I didn't have any at all! I have strecth marks on my inner thighs, side of my belly, on the inside of my arm, and on my butt LOL. I wanna try the bio oil stuff but I am worried I will waste my money.

Genetics also play a role in stretch marks. It is said that if your mom had them, then you will most likely get them. Drinking plenty of water and avoiding soda and sugars help, as well as using moisturizers that have vitamin E. Good luck.

I used palmers massaging CREAM, it comes in a 5 oz tube and goes quickly but it is the most moisturizing and stays on the longest. I love it. I have heard for existing / new stretch marks, that Bio Oil (orange oil clear bottle) does wonders on it if used a couple times a day (probably morning and night and after shower if needed)
Good luck!
