Q: To go OR Not to go?

I have been trying to get pregnant for almost a year and just recently found out that I am pregnant. My husband and I decided to go to Africa this coming July before we found out (we actually didn't try this past month... and this was the month it happened). Just wondering if anyone has experiences with going to a 3rd world country while still in your first trimester? I can't take malaria tablets and slightly worried :S

Any comments would be greatly appreciated :)

Congrats to you both. I did read in this months Mother & baby about a girl who is going on honeymoon to kenya and was told of anti malaria drugs which are safe in pregnancy and just to ask your doc. Get your doctors advice, but if its safe to go then do as you may not have the chance again for quite some time, enjoy a once in a lifetime holiday and relax for the coming months x
