Q: Discomfort in the under region

Im seven days post partum . I know that's still early for recovery talk but I was wondering how long it took for any of you ladies that have had babies to start to feel better in the under region hooha area. Lol also. Was lucky to get anal fissures :/. Anyone have those too? If so when did that get better? Ty ladies :)

It took me a while to feel better down there. I had a vaginal birth and had a few superficial tears that required three stitches. But even with the numbing spray and water spray when I peed, each day got worse and worse. By 5 days postpartum I was peeing only once a day and screaming pain. I ended up in the hospital to find out (after they wanted me to give them a damn urine sample) that I had had a tear that the doctor had missed and it was too late to stitch it up because it was healing from the inside out. After I got Lidocaine though, two weeks later I began feeling loads better. I can't saying anything about sex because until I broke up with my ex and met my current boyfriend (son was born March 8th 2009. Started dating my boyfriend April 4th, 2010) sex hurt really bad.

The water bottle and the Dermoplast. My chacha's best friends right now. I'm feeling well enough to go for walks now, and I'm 8 days pp.
still gets uncomfortable at times though. but at least I don't feel like my perineum is made of jumbo marshmallows anymore!

I tore pretty bad too :( I remember it taking me two to three weeks to feel pretty good. I didn't have anal fissures -- ouch -- but I did get a hemrhoid and it still has flare ups to this day three years later!? My stitches took almost 10 weeks to completely heal. I hope you feel better much faster!

Without any tearing, I was all better down there by about 10 days PP. But I didn't have any anal fissures. Hopefully, once those clear up for you, you will be all better :)

I can't remember with my first but with my last baby I remember feeling well enough down there to have sex well before my 6 week doctors appointment. I know I was totally not supposed to have sex but I felt great down there and it was amazing! So I am guessing anywhere between 4 and 5 weeks. When I was in the hospital I was given a bottle that I was supposed to spray warm water down there after using the bathroom. And I was also given a spray that helped with healing and pain. I don't know, do they still give those things out? It has been 9 years so maybe things have changed.
