Q: Beach Vacay at 20 weeks

We just found out I am pregnant after already having booked a week in the Dominican Republic in December for dh's 30th birthday. Should be a relaxing getaway to a adult-only all-inclusive so I won't have to do much more than walk between the room, beach, and buffets. I will still be in my second trimester (safe to fly) but I'm concerned about being huge in a bikini. Anyone else take a trip around this time and have any opinions?

We went on a babymoon at 22 weeks. Unfortunately I didn't fit into any of my old bikinis (my boobs are huge). So I bought maternity bathing suits...they make tankinis and one pieces. I wore tankinis and they were flattering to the belly area and comfortable. i wouldn't worry about it you'll look beautiul! Just enjoy your vacation....!

As long as you feel comfortable with your body, you'll likely be fine in a bikini, although you may need to buy a new one as MrsMom points out. I am 23weeks, and could still wear a bikini, although I prefer to wear a tshirt over top as I am a very self-conscious person. I would suggest getting a few wraps or cover-ups for poolside just in case you don't feel 100% great about your body. Having the wraps along just in case would be a good bet to make sure you get all of the fun and relaxation out of your trip. ... Congratulations, by the way :)

I'm not sure what your current size is, but every woman is different. Although, at 20 weeks, you won't be huge in a bikini. I have a bikini pic posted on my baby bump photos...take a look. I am 29 weeks in that photo and I am not huge and felt totally comfortable in it. Mind you, I had to go out and buy myself a bigger sized bikini than what I had pre-pregnancy to fit my larger chest. You will look great!!! Enjoy the vacation!
