Q: In which month of your pregnancy is consided ideal to have your baby shower

Is it always better during your 8th month or can it be from 7months onwards. People can be very superstitious saying before the time isnt good

Thank u ladies, that's really helpful. I was thinking of having mine the 1st week of December God willing for the same reason that baby might come early and to have it b4 the holidays coz my baby is due in February the 22 God willing.

Agreed. I think the shower should be when it works best for everyone! I'm having mine at 29w4d and really happy about it being then too, as it will give us plenty of time to see what we get and what we still need. I'd rather be prepared early in case baby boy decides to make his appearance early for some reason. Also, near the end I figure I won't have energy to do much of anything, so the more that's prepped, the better!

I am actually having my shower the first of November, which I will be 27 weeks and 1 day. I am due February 1st and wanted to have my shower before everyone started getting busy with the holidays. Plus this will give me to time to get things prepared and see what we have versus what we will still need before she gets here. Also she is measuring big so we planned it early in case SHE comes early. I don't think there is any hard, fast rule as to when you have your shower. I say if you want to have it at 7 months, go for it, because you never know what your babies are going to do. =o)
