He wants a super hippie name which i'm generally not down with, but we both agree that this is cute...

I love it. My sis her name is Sunshine :)
And she's 32. . She loves her name, just said the guys have corny lines to use as pick up's heehee. And i love the name Rubi i think its beautiful, & really nobody uses a middle name like unless, we're gettin yelled at by mom and dad . :-)
But i like the name alot. . I think its very unique and pretty.
Wanna laugh? My man said if we have a girl, he picked two names 1) Miracle 2) Princessa . Soooo totally stripper status to me and i really hope its a boy lol. . Good Luck :)

I love the name Ruby and I agree with most of the post above lol. I know someone who named their kids Tigerlilly Pearl and Lion Royale, I'm all for hippie names but some are odd. Ruby Sunshine is nice, the only thing that kept me from giving my kids names like that were thinking of how they are going to have to grow up to "fit in" and even though funky names sound good to us sometimes they can get their self esteem and feelings hurt by kids at school or whereever. Just pick something that means something to you both. and have fun!!

I like the name....but...when you are angry because she is not listening or throwing a fit in the grocery store and you use both her first and her middle name "Ruby Sunshine"....she's not going to be so "sunshiny" is she?...and honestly if I heard someone say that to their kid while disciplining them...I would have to laugh, and give you one of those "yeah...not so sunshiny now, is she?" type looks! LOL...I don't think I would be able to disciplin her without laughing :/

HAHA...Firstly, I love the name. Secondly, you want opinions but only favorable ones!? giggle. Seriously though, I think Ruby Sunshine is a lovely name. I agree with the last response about names for when the child gets older....although Sunshine might sound more like a child's name and not an adult's name, once she's older she generally won't be going by her 2nd name anyway! So, Ruby is actually an old classic name and would suit an older woman as well as a babe in nappies. Congrats either way.
