Thanks for the responses ladies, they truly have helped! I haven't slept a wink but I made the wedding and now I'm back at home waiting for cocktail hour to start at 5pm! I have had the pains about every hour or two every hour but I haven't had any that "stop me in my tracks" as you mentioned Sarah! My OB also said they would feel that way too so I guess I'm in early stages, but boy the night time one's were rough. I am hopeful everything remains this way until after the reception, but want things to move on afterwards because I don't want to feel like this for the next week or something...that wouldn't be fun! Thanks again ladies, all of your responses are much appreciated.

Sounds like you won't be attending the wedding, because you will be in Labor and Delivery :). Exciting! Congrats and good luck!

How are you doing Cassie? I was thinking about the pain you describe and your pelvic bone has a little cartilage that loosen and your pelvic bone loosens as the baby's head descends. Could explain the cramping you are having so low. All good things which mean you are on your way to having your LO.
My contractions with DD were a belly tightening, where you feel like you have a band wrapped around your belly that squeezes. Early labor is more just tightening and as you transition to active labor you get the pains they say stop you in your tracks. You can't speak or move just ride through the sharp pains but they are usually rhythmic and you find that you know when one is coming. Walking is the best thing to help bring on these good contractions. Hang in there Momma sounds like you are almost there!

sounds like how I felt with labour with my first, i never felt the tightening just the period like pain getting worse and worse with each go, I went to get checked and was far enough along that they wouldnt let me go back home lol my waters broke not long after i got there , are you able to go and get checked? might save you from your waters breaking half way through the wedding ceremony.. Goodluck!!

i agree, i think you may be holding your baby soon!! I was induced with my first 2 pregnancies but with my last i felt what you were describing. i noticed it around supper time but figured it was regular pregnancy pains,, it continued into the night and my water broke at 1AM... it wasnt until about 3:30 AM that i KNEW i was feeling contractions and not just cramps. Good luck!!!

Im only 21 weeks with my first baby, and really have no idea what contractions feel like, but I reckon if your 40 weeks and have had your blood show, then your baby may be in your arms very very soon! I wish you all the luck in the world, and I hope your labour goes well for you. Good Luck with your new edition, oh and congratulations! x

By lower region, I mean vagina/uterus. Just below my belly and downwards is where the pain is.
