Q: "Grooming" Question

Are you still getting bikini/Brazilian waxes? I'm debating whether to cancel my monthly appointments, as the last one was quite uncomfortable with the light pushing on my belly (mostly because I was nervous being so early on). I'm assuming it will become more awkward or even impossible to get them done as I grow, but shaving would be even harder! Any advice from the high-maintenance mamas? :)

Im with Gina on this one...I still do the grooming it just takes more of my other senses like touch lol Mirrors are helpful but I don't know how you would have enough hands?? :) Also here is a thought....trimmers with a guard, no it won't be your normal shave down or waxing but it will keep you from looking like you are smugglin chewbaca! LOL And if you can't do it put the man to work! Tell him if he wants to find it, he has to trim it! :)

Thanks, ladies! I'm going to take it one month at a time. I will probably find better use for my time & money...like shopping and planning and naming (oh my!).

I shaved my first two trimesters just bc I'm not a big wax fan lol but once I hit about 30 weeks it got hard to see what I was doing my bf said it looked like I did it half asleep I found using the bathroom mirror helped. Although to be honest I got so much other things on my mind that I just didn't keep up on it as much as I thought i would but I keep it trimmed very short and tidy and it keeps me from feeling awkward at appointments lol

I don't get waxed but I do keep myself groomed with shaving. I'm 32 weeks now and while it's getting harder I can still successfully keep everything nice and trim! So it is possible to manage even if you were to decide to do it on your own! I just told my DH if it got too tough he'd have to help me :)

No Big deal.
Keep going.
It will help you to feel good about yourself if you continue your self maintenance.

I've been told that as long as the person you are going to is clean and considerate, there shouldn't be a problem with keeping it up. Personally, I was getting so nervous that I was giving myself panic attacks before each appointment so I stopped going, and that was before I found out I was preg. You can probably keep going as long as you are comfortable. I know I'm not even showing much yet, but I'm freaked about how I will manage when I'm further along! Good luck!
