Goodevening,
Although i will never recommend you or anyone to fly during their pregnancy. But looking at your situation, i will say that you should, if you must fly away at or around 29 weeks of your pregnancy. Do consult a doctor before you are chosing to travel! As it can be dangerous without a concent from the doctor. However, do carry a pair of accupressure socks with you, because long hours of flying generally decreases blood curculation in lower body. Also, take your necessary medicines with you.

That is funny that she was actually talking about having her baby in the U.S. :) I got confused for a sec too.
Anyways, hope all went well! Congrats!

I'm planning on having my baby in a country of my citizenship in Europe. My husband is American and we live here but we decided it will be better to go back and have the baby born in Europe , and then stay there for about 6 months after and be close to my mother. Having a kid in the U.S. is very expensive. We can barely afford doctor appointment because I can't be on my husband's insurance until I become a citizen... In my country they even pay you $2500 just because you have a baby :) and then every month about $100-200 and you get long paid maternity leave. I don't know how women do it here if they really need to work.

I refuse to every fly pregnant again. I was in the military with my first born. I had to fly from Okinawa, Japan to North Carolina (USA) at 6mo pregnant. I did the trip alone with 2 sea bags, a back pack and 1 regular luggage. I was beyond miserable. When I was in Japan strangers always offered to help me with my bags. As soon as I hit the states no one ever offered to help. Maybe in the very early stages I'd fly. With a belly, No way! Plus the swelling while on the plane was painful! Good luck!

I am also having my baby abroad, unless you have no health concerns, most airlines allow 3rd trimester pregnant women to fly!

WHY ANOTHER COUNTRY?? ITS GOING TO BE A PAIN IN THE ASS TO GET THE BABY BACK INTO YOUR COUNTRY YOUR GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT ON THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE AND MEDICAL CLEARANCE FROM A DOCTOR FOR BOTH YOU AND BABY TO FLY BACK OVER!! ALOT OF DRS DO NOT RECOMMEND BABY FLYING UNTIL AT LEAST 4 WEEKS OLD (i believe)BC OF THE PRESSURE ON THEIR EAR DRUMS AND ALL(make sure you talk to your doctor before doing this so your not stuck in some foreign country hun)
PLUS THEN YOUR BABY WONT BE CONSIDERED A U.S CITIZEN AND YOULL NEED ALL DIFFERENT KINDS OF DOCUMENTATION..
and think (god forbid) what if something goes wrong..is the country you want to have your baby in as medically equipped as the US!!!!!???

WAS THIS ALWAYS A DREAM OF YOURS?? OR ARE YOU JUST DOING SOMETHING SPONTANEOUS???
congrats either way!! BUT LET US KNOW IF YOU WANT WHY ANOTHER COUNTRY :-0

I think all airlines have different rules hun on letting us pregnant woman fly.. it also depends where you live, im from the UK and our top airlines like easy jet allow woman to fly (if they are expecting one baby) up to the 35th week.. Monarch airlines allow you up to 34 weeks but both airlines say they need certificates from your doctor to say you have no complications. I would say check with your own airline (most have their rules up on the internet) and work around that.. you may have to fly a week or 2 earlier.. but it looks to me that 35 weeks is definetly the latest in your pregnancy that you will be allowed to fly. Good Luck!
