Q: Hcg at 5 weeks 18500? Too high?

Hi everyone. My hcg levels seem to be way higher than normal. 879 at 14dpo and 18500 at 21dpo (5 weeks). I'm pretty sure my dates are right and I feel perfectly fine (no nausea just fatigued). Scan in 2 weeks. Should I be worried? From what I'm reading it could be anything from multiple pregnancy, very strong singleton, to molar pregnancy or down syndrome. Any input anyone? This is my third pregnancy but so far no babies. (missed miscarriage at 10 wks and chemical last month)..

Thank you ladies. I feel a lot better about it, had a chat to my Doc and he isn't worried at all. Just found out my real dad was a fraternal twin so now I'm really looking forward to seeing the scan next week! :) Thanki you for the support. I will stop reading now.

Don't worry! Mine was 73,900 at 5w5d and it's just one healthy baby. I'm now over 21 weeks along. I hadn't even heard of a molar pregnancy until I started looking up "normal hcg levels." I only freaked myself out for nothing since it's my first pregnancy. Hope this one sticks. God bless.

Sorry, correction - my friend who had a molar had 111,000 at 4 weeks, not 5!

It really is impossible to know - from what I keep reading, hcg levels have such a large range. But try not to worry about a molar pregnancy. The on person I know who had one had an hcg level of 111,000 at 5 weeks, so much higher than you! Good luck!

If i were you I would not worry so much and just wait and see what the scan shows. If there are any problems your doctor will tell you. Best of luck <3 I know this is scarey but worrying just makes things worse.
