Q: Pregnant again??

Ive asked this question in countdown to pregnancy a well, just though the ladies on this site might have experienced this too!! Has anyone else had an unusually log cycle after pregnancy? I have a 7.5 month old baby and a 4 year old son. I've been on micronor (birth control) for the past 3 months and got my first period on jan 14th. I am now on cycle day 32 and my normal pre pregnancy cycles were only ever 26 days even after my first son. I know this type of pill is less effective than others bcs it's progestin only so it wouldn't affect my milk supply and I have been actively having sex with my husband. Is there a chance I'm pregnant or is it more likely Just my body readjusting?! Amy one else been in this situation?

i would think it would beyour body adjusting, but i would take a test to be safe. My DH has make take 2 tests a month one the beggining and one the end just in case. We already have 2 contraceptive babies. So far the nuva Ring was my best choice. I had it when I was best feeding at 6 weeks, my dr said it was fine.

No, I used to be on cerezette which is a progesterone only pill, probably very similar to yours, and whenever I started it, it would give me a really long cycle, some light bleeding, then no period at all until I stopped taking it, so I would suggest its this, but it's worth doing a test also. If you take it from day 1 of your cycle it is immediately effective though.

I did not take bcp after I had my dd but when my cycles returned at 11 months postpardum they were all sorts of messed up I had 60 day cycles 40 day cycles and then finally after almost another year they became normal again and thats when I got pregnant with this baby. Breastfeeding suppresses ovulation by lowering estrogen levels due to increased prolacin levels. Is your baby eating lots of solids and sleeping through the night? if so take a test to be sure but most likely your body is just readjusting.

Sounds like it could be either one. Birth control is never 100%, and since you are sexually active you could be. It could also be because you started a new birth control or because you just started having periods again. I know both of those can effect the length of your cycle. I would say take a pregnancy test and see what it says. If its negative and you still don't get your period test again in a week. Good luck either way!
