I agree with previous posts. Ultrasounds can be off, but baby could also gain more or less in the coming weeks and it could all even out before birth. Average weight means there are still a LOT of babies that weigh more or less!

It varies. Ive heard of babies coming out lighter then what was stated via ultrasound.

Two things:
1) an Average weight is just that, an AVERAGE, meaning there will be babies a little bigger and a little smaller than that. So a little above or a little below is to be expected, and is not unusual.
2) Ultrasound weight estimates are NOT that accurate; usually only +/- 1 to 2 pounds, which is a ridiculous margin of error when you consider that the baby only weighs a few pounds to begin with.
I wouldn't worry too much about it, as it's pretty much impossible to know whether baby is going to be "too big" to have a vaginal birth until you try.
