Q: 5 weeks and light bleeding

Has anyone had like a light red bleeding when you wipe and barely makes it on the pad carry your baby to term? I'm worried I am misscarrying. I took another pregnancy test today and it was positive. My last miscarriage when I started bleeding and I took a test it was negative so I'm hoping the positive is a good sign.

I had bright red bleeding for 2 days when I was 6 weeks, it wasnt spotting but bleeding and cramping thought I was miscarrying and it started on thanksgiving :/ but I am almost 21 weeks now and baby looks good, I would call your doctor to make sure everything is fine.

I had extremely light spotting, only when I wiped at around 4 weeks.. It lasted about 3 days I was so scared and went to the doctors and he said it was implantation bleeding.. It was a very light pinkish color sometimes tan and was mixed into my cm (tmi) sorry but here my question that I asked when this was happening to me if you want to take a look at it and everyone's answers.. Hope this helps! Good luck! Xo

I've been having spotting every Sunday or Monday since 7th week, once I've had bleeding like menstrual. I'm on progesterone injections and pills. I think I'll make it :)

Light bleeding/spotting in early pregnancy is actually quite common and usually not a sign for concern. I would tell your doctor just in case & to put your mind at ease but as long as the bleeding doesn't get heavier or is accompanied by cramping, I wouldn't worry too much. Try not to stress yourself out!

I had spotting that lasted a day and a half at about 5 weeks. I also had spotting at 8 weeks. I'm now 15 weeks and everything is great. They say if you aren't having any pain and the blood isn't soaking through a pad in an hour then it should be fine. I know that isn't always true but its the general rule. This early on the doctor couldn't do anything to stop it anyway. All they could do is check your levels and possibly do an ultrasound that might be too early to show a heart beat anyway. My advice is to just stay calm and not stress too much(I know that's almost impossible). Light bleeding is generally normal in early pregnancy. If it will put your mind at ease call your doctor but know that they probably won't do anything. I wish you the best.
