Q: PMS-like cramping along with brown discharge...?

Good morning ladies! Just wanted to get your opinion...

Ever since Tuesday I've been having "period" like cramping. I'm currently 7W4D. The cramping has been followed by brown discharge that continues into today. The cramping was fairly heavy yesterday then subsided int he evening and today its barely noticeable.

Last year I suffered 2 MC's so of course I'm concerned, but so far this is nothing like the previous 2. The others, I bled right away and cramps followed later(when I was discharging the contents of the uterus) Other then that, there wasn't any cramping or forewarning.

I did see the baby at 6W2D and it was on track and heartbeat was good. Anyway, are cramps and brown discharge OK for 7 weeks or could this be an early MC again? I haven't had any blood flow for the 3 days, nothing beyond pink spotting when I wipe and brown discharge when I wipe. Thanks!

Thanks kelliers! I was hoping that could be possible. My husband also read in a book that in your first semester you can have "contractions" from stretching if the uterus and ligaments, plus my uterus is apparently angled so maybe its getting into place? Ahhhhhh, WHO knows. We have an appt at an elective ultrasound place tomorrow because we wanted to get a recording of the babies heartbeat,so I guess we'll see whats going on then.

When I went in for my 6 wk ultrasound my doctor said there was some blood pooling by my cervix (totally normal) and I might see some spotting. I didn't but sometimes it can be from things like that. At my 7 wk 4 day she didn't mention it so I guess it's gone but if you are concerned you can always call the nurse for advice.
