Q: Rolling pot in tobacco paper?!

My DH smokes pot and always asks me to roll his weed for him in tobacco paper. I told him I shouldnt bc im pregnant and i cant even take tylenol or eat feta cheese but he thinks as long as im not smoking it (which im not) that its okay. Is it ok for me to lick tobacco paper in my first trimester? I dont think it is bc there is probably all sorts of chemicals on it and eventhough im not chewing or smoking it, its still getting on my toung and some has got to get in my system. What do u think about this?

Personally, I'm finding this question rather funny as people try to insert their personal code of morality into it.

I'm with a few of the other women, I'm sure the actual licking of the paper is no more harmful than licking a stamp. What would be interesting is to call the company as ask if their paper adhesive is food safe. I'd be interested in knowing that.

Besides, people are so full of heavy metals and toxins simply by virtue of living in a polluted world that I feel a few paper licks is the least of anyone's problems.

LOL.. tell him if he needs to smoke pot he can roll his weed himself!! I would never support my husband or friend or anybody who needs to smoke this crap, especially if i was pregnant! He should be old enough to do it himself!!!

So is the paper made out of tobacco or is it those job papers? Even if it's made of tobacco I wouldn't think touching it or licking it would harm anything, your baby is protected inside of you and just that small amoumt of whatever is in it shouldn't really do any harm. Just make him lick it! lol

Thank you so much to danni79 and all of the others with the ability to identify the actual question. I would like to specially thank the last member who posted her comment because you totally get what I am saying!! THANK YOU!! YOU GO GIRL!!
I see what you mean about the paper being safe for human consumption and your answers lead me to believe that it is probably fine. I will just not do it as much as I used to and lick the paper as little as possible, not touch the weed and im sure all will be fine. Afterall, there are crackheads who have healthy babies every day. DH has been very supportive and has been smoking his cigs and his weed outside and I KNOW it will remain that way when we have the baby and throughout his childhood coz we DO take it seriously. Like the last member posted, "everyone is different". I am highly confident in our ability to handle the situation without it effecting our parenting skills or the welfare of our child.
Thank you for all your input and su

People that ar getting so worked up over this question are being really stupid!!! and also need to READ the question before answering!! I dont think that rolling or licking the rizla paper will do any harm for you as a pregnant women. I too smoked before I discovered I was pregnant and gave up that and cigerrettes. My partner continued to smoke outside. We also have another child and having the odd smoke on "date" night when we have a babysitter did not in any way hinder our parenting methods. Get a grip ladies and dont judge people on your own up bringing. Everyone is different

I'm sure the tobacco paper is a simple adhesive that must be safe for human ingestion otherwise they would not be allowed to use it, regardless of if you were pregnant or not. Wouldn't it just be the same as licking an envelope?

The question is about licking the safety of tobacco paper and as nothing to do with smoking weed as I have stated over and over again. Sounds like u have some personal issues from your past that are still bothering you. You r harboring some kind of resentment toward pot using parents because of your own experiences and im sorry for that but to rant on about how weed is making me a shitty mother is ridiculous lol.. but u have a right to your opinion and u are right about second guessing something... but sometimes the things you second guess are really fine such as tanning while pregnant. You would think it would be bad for you but its really harmless if done properly... point being, this is a legitimate question. I understand your concerns and I am glad that you dont allow weed around your family... yay for you!! However that is not the question but obviously no matter how much I stress that point, you are going to keep going back to the weed because of our own issues. Sorry I asked hun

I repeat " If you have to second guess something..then normally the answer is right in front of you. Part of being a mama is listening to that maternal side shining through. I have saved my childs life because of it. Your husband is a key member to this babies life..and unless this is for a a chronic disorder...It shouldnt even be up for discussion. Baby comes first from this point on." hun..keeping your husband happy when it comes to this subject is a no brainer. You and that baby come first right now. When the baby is here..your guys action reflect the baby directly at ALL TIMES! I grew up in a house where parents smoked,,,NOT IN FRONT OF ME..but the were high daily...MY NEEDS WERE NOT MET. EVEN THOUGH THEY TRIED TO WORK POT INTO THE PICTURE WITHOUT HARMING THE INTEGRITY OF THEIR PARENTING! THIS QUESTION IS ASKING HOW YOU CAN HELP YOUR HUSBAND WITH HIS HABIT...NOT MUCH EDUCATION WITH IN A ANSWER IS NEEDED TO TELL YOU THAT YOU SHOULDNT EVEN FEEL THE NEED TO ASK THIS.

The question is about tobacco paper NOT WEED!! IS TOBACCO PAPER HARMFUL? I am NOT injesting marijuana nor am i sticking weed in a child's mouth! I am simply a pregnant woman who is questioning the SAFETY OF LICKING TOBACCO PAPER. I question its harmfulness if i am NOT chewing or smoking TOBACCO PAPER but coming in contact with my mouth. Clearly im not stupid enough to smoke weed if im concerned about licking the paper lol!!! Its a question just like "is it ok to die my hair" or "what about nail polish?".. u dont think it is but u want to be sure BEFORE you continue to do it. Simply a woman who loves her man and wants to keep him happy but NOT at the expense of her unborn.. or i wouldnt have asked! To NOT ask would be selfish... This question was meant for an intelligent response (ie if anyone has knowledge of the subject, NOT the morality of marijuana but the SAFETY OF TOBACCO PAPER ON THE TOUNG) PLEASE READ THE QUESTION CAREFULLY.. Thanks!

I dont believe this is horrible drug...I happen to enjoy it myself. I do not smoke anymore...or allow anyone high to be around my babies. As a parent...would you be ok with your baby holding a J? Selfishness goes right out the window when you make the decision to dtd and get pregnant. This question is reflecting on your brewing maternal instincts. If you have to second guess something..then normally the answer is right in front of you. Part of being a mama is listening to that maternal side shining through. I have saved my childs life because of it. Your husband is a key member to this babies life..and unless this is for a a chronic disorder...It shouldnt even be up for discussion. Baby comes first from this point on.
