Q: 15 weeks and no weight gain yet?

I'm 15 weeks now, and so far i haven't gained any weight yet, unlike my last pregnancy. By this point last time, i had gained some weight and looked pregnant. This time, i've actually lost a couple pounds and i don't look any different yet. I was expecting to pop out even earlier than last time, since this is my third baby, but so far, nothing. It might sound silly to worry about not looking pregnant yet, but after all my losses, i guess i'm just worrying about everything. Anyone else not show til much later with a third baby? Especially if you showed early with the second?

Honestly i wouldn't worry too much about the weight. I'm at almost 30 weeks and and still 2lbs under prepregnancy weight. I started to show fairly early with this pregnancy for some reason though even though i haven't gained anything.

Bostonmomma, maybe that's what it is. I have had several losses and a d&c between this baby and the last, just like you. Maybe thats changed the position of my uterus too. And I am heavier to start with this time around too, unfortunately. I'm thinking also, that because my husband and I opened up our martial arts school between this baby and the last, that all the extra workout time I've been putting in is making a difference in how well my stomach muscles are holding everything in this time, even though I'm heavier. I've been teaching a lot more than I used to! And I'm sure packing around a 2 1/2 year old that weighs nearly 40 lbs has added some muscle too! Lol

I'm in the same boat....and I'm almost 10 weeks. Last pregnancy in October I was getting a "gas bump" at 6 weeks....this time...flat as a board! Nada.

Here is my thought....for both of us....I'm thinking maybe it's due to our uterus's. Mine, after my D&C, was tilted backwards (after reading all the reports I requested copies of after surgery)....so maybe it's because our uterus's might be tipped back towards our spine? Maybe the baby will grow up first, then out.

Just a thought....or opinion....!!

With my 4 year old son I had gained 32 lbs when I had him at 36 weeks 1 day and he was only 3 lbs 1 oz, with my 10 month old I only gained 5 lbs the whole pregnancy and I had him at 39 weeks weighing 7 lbs 13 oz. So if the doctor says everything looks alright and that baby is growing fine , I wouldn't worry too much everyone is different as is every pregnancy. Congrats on your pregnancy :)

Every body is different. I find that only super tiny people are showing that early (at least to other people) of course this isn't always the case. I also find that there is less weight gain with the second pregnancy usually because we women tend to be a wee bit heavier after the first so there's already some "fluff" there to work with lol.

Luckymommy, i've definitely outgrown 90% of my bras already too! Sports bras have become by bff's. I'm not going to spend money for 9 months buying new bras to grow out of. I'm saving my money for nursing bras. I'll be wearing them alot longer!

He says i'm fine. All my ultrasounds and genetic screening has been fine too. I just was expecting to see something from the outside by now, like last time, but so far, i'm not. I've always heard that you tend to show a little earlier with each baby, but that doesn't seem to be the case for me this time. Just wondering if anyone else had experienced that?
