Q: Is 25 weeks to early to have a baby shower for twins?

March 13th will be 40 weeks, but since twins usually come anytime between 34-37 (which would be 1/30/14-2/20/14) is 25 weeks to early to have one? Trying to figure it out around the holidays and not to mention my sister is getting married 1/17/14 in Florida (I'm in DC). Trying not to overload my family. Lol. 25 weeks would be the first weekend in December.

I don't think it is too early, especially considering the time of the year during which everything is falling. I am due January 1st and am trying to decide when to have mine so that it doesn't conflict with the three other baby showers that will be around the same time and the holidays. With your sister's wedding and the holidays, I think that 25 weeks or 26 weeks would be great. It's nice of you to be considerate of not overloading your family. :) Congratulations on your bundles of joy!

We planned mine for 20 weeks since that would be near the end of travel with my twin pregnancy. A few weeks before the baby shower my OB told me I wasn't going to be able to fly. Then at 19 weeks I was flown out of state for emergency surgery and one of my twins passed away.

We still continued with the baby shower at 20 weeks and I just joined via FaceTime.

I don't think it's too early. I had mine at 32 weeks and had my son via emergency csection 2 weeks later. You never now what is going to happen.

I think that is a perfect time! My sister had twins, but she gave birth around 34 weeks. Her shower was somewhere around 28 weeks. Good luck! :)

It seems early. It'd push it to 30 but really it's your choice. For singletons they usually do it at 36 weeks or so. I am due Jan 3 so mine will be Nov 10 to avoid conflicting with Holidays but that is on the early side.
