Q: When will I ovulate and start my period

I'm 10 weeks postpartum. I've been checking for ovulation so that I will know around when I am due to start and I just like to know what is going on with my body. I have never ovulated so I know my period is not on the way! Maybe pregnancy messed my body up
anyway how long will it take for cycles to be normal again

It really does depend on the individual. Some women never ovulate before their first period post partum, the lining simply sheds. This usually triggers the body back into a regular cycle with ovulation. I know that is what happened with me about 12 weeks after the birth. Once my periods resumed, it took a few months for them to become like clockwork again. Some months it would be every 26 days. The next it would be 30. After a few months of that I became regular again, however, I had a shorter cycle than before (every 32 days before the pregnancy; every 27 after) and the bleeding was heavier.

It depends if you're breastfeeding and really just on your body. I took me 20 weeks before I started and I didn't breastfeed. I have many women in my group that haven't started yet and they have little ones 7 months old!
