Q: Can you get pregnant 3 weeks after giving birth ?

To start off I know your not suppose to have sex till 6 weeks but one thing lead to another and the deed was done. I have stopped bleeding as well sorry for the tmi. But now I'm really frightened about getting pregnant again so early. Is it possible ? If I took a test would it even be accurate in a few days ? I would love feedback !

Thank you for your responses. I'm not breastfeeding. I did take an ovulation test this morning I found from before and it didn't say I had any surge so I think I'm in the clear !

Are you breastfeeding? If so, not likely. It is possible but the body doesn't *usually* ovulate that quickly. There are of course people who do and you could be one of them. I think you'll have to wait a little yet to test, though.

I fell pregnant 6 weeks after having my daughter, it is possible to fall pregnant after having a child, before ur next period, but it will still take the normal time to show on a test mine showed at 14dpo so we found out at nearly 8 weeks that we had conceived,
