Sorry it doesn't :( with my first I had false labor at 8mos and was dilated 4cm from weeks 34-38. I was 5 cm at 38 weeks and was induced. GOOD LUCK!

Dilation and effacement tell you nothing about when labor will begin. Some women walk around 3-4 cm dated for weeks!

Like the others said, you can be 1 or even 2 cm dilated for weeks. With my first, I was 2 cm for almost 3 weeks. So try not to worry about the little one coming early. You should be fine and he should stay in there a few more weeks!

You could be stuck at 1 for a long time, don't worry too much about it, especially since at 37 they consider you at term. But yeah you could go for weeks at 1 cm dilated.

Nope. You can stay like that for weeks. Hopefully, baby will stay put a while longer!
