I had 4 with my first. We planned on having 2 knowing that my husbands family probably wouldn't come to one. We invited them but they decided just to do their own shower. So I basically had 2 showers with one being bigger and one being the same people from the first but only family. THEN we had my husbands families. THEN my dads family also held one. I felt awful about the situation! But they were fun and made time for my family and half my husbands to get closer. This is why Christmas is soo hard! 4 families living 4 hours away and me driving to all of them (Last parts off topic but I needed to complain somewhere :) )

No technically we're having three-each of us had someone at work planning one and then my husband's aunt did one. if someone offers or plans it as a surprise for you it's more than ok! The key is to try not to overlap guests in a situation like yours (inviting someone to multiple showers might put a strain on them gift wise)-in our situation it's easy because our work lives are separate but in your case you might want to consider how you're going to split the guests you invite as far as friends go.

It's not wrong to have two baby showers. I had three with our first son.....my mom and Gram threw one, my dad and stepmom threw another and my work friends threw me a small one at work.

its not wrong to have two baby shower. i think it'll be best if you have two just cause you wouldn't want anyone fighting at your baby shower, even tho it should bring people close but its for you.
