Q: Possible miscarriage...

I went to the doctor for a blood test for confirmation. the advised that my levels are at 40 and should be at 50. They said that I might just be REALLY early or I may be miscarrying... Has this happened to anyone else? I should be 4 weeks today and I took the blood test yesterday. Should I be worried and what should I do? PLEASE HELP... I AM PETRIFIED!

Who told you that and why do they have a license to practice medicine? Your level is not important, whether or not it's doubling is. You could have just implanted the day before! Geeze...it's scary what doctors do to pregnant women. I advise you to seek a different professional for your care from here on out.

I really think it'll be okay. Mine started at 14.3, almost lost my mind but it almost quadrupled in 48 hours so all is well. Remember it's not the starting figure that matters but the rate at which it doubles. Good luck, it's terrible playing the waiting game x

Thank you all SOOOO much. I have spent most of the night crying, scared to death of what is happening to me! I don't want to stress the baby but that completly overwhelmed me!!! Again, words cannot express the gratitude! Thank you from the bottom of my heart and from the little baby growing inside of me!

Stop taking the tests, stop stressing, everything will be ok. Although make sure to look for a new clinic. If I knew the doctor who said that to you I'd go and slug them like several times but my emotions are extremely high right now. It's absolutely not ok to be telling newly pregnant mothers things like that. Just pop in some movies or watch old reruns if tv shows, I watch Buffy, spike is really hot lol, but find something to occupy your time and the weeks will fly by, also call around and look up reviews for a new doctor :)

Your doctor or however gave you your results should be fired! No it doesn't mean that you just got pregnant and HCG levels rise at different levels for everyone. Wow you should find a different clinic to handle your pregnancy.
