Q: Growth scan in a few hours, nervous

I'm 34+3, I have my growth scan at 11am I'm quite nervous and worried about it. at a scan at 32 weeks baby was measuring almost 3 weeks behind. My bump has not grown as much as they would have liked. I am worried that he's now measuring further behind. With my first I had a growth scan at 35 weeks and had him the following week. I am worried that the same thing will happen. I'll this growth scan today, I see my consultant on Thursday and then I'm worried they will say we need to get baby out. if they same thing was to happen it would mean having baby next week where i'll be in my 35th week.

SOrry to hear all the stress and worry you are going through hun.
It's so hard to say what may or may not happen, especially with a previous experience of a 36 week birth.
I had a similar situation with my daughter - she was measuring small for quite some time, by up to 3 weeks at some points. She was induced at 39 weeks and was estimated to be in the latter part of 5lbs but came out a healthy 6lbs 6oz in the end. The technology these days is pretty good but at the same time so unreliable - friends baby was estimated to be 4lbs something and came out nearly 7!
We both had very small bumps which didn't grow according to the normal scales as well - yet both had perfectly healthy babies.
I hope your news on Thursday goes really well and baby is growing! They're still in the best hotel with food on tap but if they aren't growing - the second best hotel in your arms will do ;)

thank you ladies, I got there and it wasn't for a scan but to be hooked up to a fetal monitor, I have to wait till Thursday to see what the consultant says, but the midwife thinks that they may do more fetal heart monitoring and then get him out at 36 weeks

Hope all goes well, I'm just back from my apt I'm 34+3 too, I've a very small bump and was really worried about apt but baby is measuring on time and weighs around 5lb 4oz.

Hopefully yours goes well, baby may have caught at this stage

I am praying all goes well. I know that this is a terrifying situation. Have you had genetic testing done of this baby?
