Q: Ectopic!?! Freaking out, need advice or experiences

I'm just about 6 weeks along, and for the past two or three days I've been having weird cramps and pains. It's only on the left side, which is part of whats worrying me. It hurts to move. I didn't have anything like this with my other pregnancy. I'm wondering if any of you ladies experienced things like this and how soon I should go in. Thanks in advance!

If you press on the area where your ovaries are, does it hurt more? If pressing on the area makes it hurt you should go to the ER immediately. If pressing around on the area doesn't do anything you're likely okay but If i were you I would go in for peace of mind. They will give you an ultrasound and you won't have to be scared about the pains anymore.

its normal to feel cramping at that stage of pregnancy because of uterus growing to accommodate our baby. you should ask your OB for your ease of mind

I always get that pain with pregnancy but it's always good to ask dr. I always feel it on one side where an ovary is. Or like the ladies said ligament pain.

I had something very similar at 5 wks with my first. Made my husband take me to the ER at 4am! They couldn't find anything wrong. Said it was probably a cyst or I was having severe round lig pain. Baby was where she should be & is now 2.5 yes old. It's def worth calling your dr about, but odds are you are experiencing the joys of pregnancy!

I had the same thing and just got checked for an ectopic last Wednesday. For me it was just an ovarian cyst that had been leaking. Apparently an ectopic is extremely painful but I still think it's worth calling and asking the doc.

Since you're six weeks you should get checked. Are you bleeding? Usually some abdominal discomfort without bleeding is normal.
