Q: So Many Diaper Brands!!!

I bought a pack of newborn Huggies diapers. I saw a commercial that made a case for less leakage. So I guess they won me over . . . plus they seem to be less expensive than other brands. But you get what you pay for. So, moms, which brand do you prefer & why?

I used huggies with both my boys and plan to do the same with our little girl. I tried pampers with my son in 2009 but he kept peeing right through it. I must add that huggies has a cheaper and more expensive type. I used the more expensive one (huggies gold). I was more than happy to pay the extra because I used much less than the cheaper brands. The nappies lasted through an entire night and was just so much more convenient. Cheaper brands gave them both a rash and burst after one or two pees in them.

I preferred Pampers. We got Huggies, Pampers and some No-Name diapers at my shower (many, many moons ago) and Pampers worked the best with my son. Huggies leaked, and No-Name leaked and ripped. Ur definitely gonna have to try a few brands and see what works well with ur baby, they vary from baby to baby. Wipe-wise, I preferred Huggies over Pampers. Pampers ripped and my finger popped through on a few occasions where u dont want fingers poppin' (poop), and Huggies felt thicker and more like I was using an actual cloth.

We do cloth diapers and we love them! Saves a lot of money and they're WAYYYY cuter! Both my boys were really allergic to all brands of disposables, we found that out the hard way when grandma decided to be lazy in Maui and buy pampers.... ugh.

I prefer huggies lithe snugglers for the newborn age. After that, I found that the babies r us brand was really good. No rashes or leakage and they were 1/2 the price of huggies or pampers.

My daughter always leaked right through Pampers. She was a heavy wetter as an infant, so I usually bought Huggies. However, I tried Luvs after she turned 2 & loved them. They fit snug like Pampers (Huggies do tend to gape in the back, at least on her they did), but absorbed as well/better than Huggies. I have yet to find a generic brand that is worth anything. They all leaked on her! We'll see what brand I go with for baby #2 when she arrives.

Haha i was similar!! My youngest is nearly 10. Always preferred Huggies to start with then moved to pampers as they started getting bigger. Maybe it had something to do with their sex?? I have stocked up on pampers this time round with this little girl. Hopefully they'll be good!!!

With my daughter (9 yrs ago) I preferred Pampers. Huggies leaked on her, and all of the no-name brands broke her out in a diaper rash within a few diapers.
I had my son in November of 2012, and I've used Huggies with him. I'd stocked up on Pampers (because that's what worked best with my daughter) but I find they've gone WAYY down hill in the last 8-9 yrs. I didn't even try any of the no-name brands this time around.
I'm hoping that baby number 3 will fit into huggies as well!
