Q: 6w3d, great HCG, strong heartbeat, measured perfect.....still a terrified nervous wreck!!

This is more of a frustration than a question... We had our fourth IVF in March. First scan Monday at 6w3d, showed a strong heartbeat, baby measured perfect, hcg was great at 19,485. We have had a total of 3 chemical pregnancies, and one loss (no HB at 6 weeks, no HB at 7 weeks, no HB at 8 weeks, D&C). I am terrified. I am trying so hard to enjoy this pregnancy, but I just wish there was a way to know everything is fine. Our next US isn't for 8 more days, which seems like eternity :(

Would it help calm your nerves to have a doppler at home you could use every now and then? I know it's hard to not know what's going on in there! There are many places (like http://www.babybeat.com/) that rent or sell fetal dopplers!

Ugh I so badly want to just enjoy it but my brain won't let me! Now I'm dreading waiting 10 days (7 more) to confirm HB still there.

I am 14 weeks and still panic! Ours is also an ivf bub after 3 losses.. and once the anxiety about losing bubs settles down you will have the anxiety about everything from birth to parenting.. It's preparing you for a lifetime of worrying about your little one xx
