Q: Only feeling baby in one half of my belly

I'm 31 weeks and I'm trying to figure out if my baby is head down or not. I thought the baby was facing my back, with her face pointing towards my left hip (meaning her spine is along my right hip), because I could feel a long firm shape on the right side and basically nothing on the left. I thought she was head down and not breech because every time I visit the midwife, she finds the heartbeat near my right hip just above the bikini line. However, in the bath tonight, baby was really active and I watched her dance for a while, but then she did something weird. the kicking stopped and she... curled up, I guess? And not the top half of my stomach is soft and squishy and the bottom half is hard and pushes out more than the rest. Does this mean she's transverse now? Or did she just put her legs by her face? (She was doing that at my 20 week ultrasound, so I assume that's just a thing she does). Does anyone know a good site where I can find information on figuring out just where this baby

There are some essential oils and homeopathic remedies for breech babies, ask your midwife if she does those (I wouldn't do them unsupervised). spinningbabies.com has some fantastic resources as well. You can start doing inversions (http://spinningbabies.com/techniques/the-inversion) as well.
At 31 weeks baby can still flip, so try not to stress out about it. Also, having good posture (again, look at the spinning babies website) during pregnancy can encourage the baby to get in the right position.

I'm also really scared of a c section. As of this morning, baby is in a totally different spot (I think), since now the top of my belly is hard again and I can feel a weird firm shape basically in the middle of my belly, but the kicks are kind of all over. I guess nobody else knows anything about this?

My baby has been stubbornly breech/transverse. I really want it to turn head down because I am petrified of a c section. I have been reading at spinning babies, but I would also be interested if anyone had some information they could share. I go for another US and hopefully baby has decided to turn.
