Q: Can anyone help me please, did scane on the first of May and they saw empty sac :( ,,

Hi, am 39yrs old and this is my second pregnancy after 6years, last period was on 13/03 , did the degital test on the 12/04 and it shows 2-3 weeks pregnant, so happy , had strange symptoms with inside temperature like boiling hot, no urine infection no outside temperature , juat under my tummy , anyway after going and coming back to the surgery they decided to do scane ,on 01/05 ,went to the hospital ,scane me then enteral scan too, they said all they can see is early pregnancy and empty sac, I was shocked and confused because of the pregnancy test and last day of period, they asked me to come back on 15/05 to do another scan ,but to be honest am so frightened ,upset and cant sleep ,am still haven't ng like contractions pain ,litle , but there is no blood , no sign for miscarriage coz either that or early pregnancy , can anyone please tell me if something like happened with them specially with the weekes am supposed to be counting from last period or counting from the day I did the tst

Hi Pupul30, there is no bleeding but there is contractions pain , (everyone said its normal first few weeks), plus I have this inside temperature under my tummy ,boiling hot , Dr told me to take Paracetamol , and thats what am doing , although it just make it better for about 2hrs then start again, specially in the night , am still hoping my baby is fine , its very hard to wait , but I will , I know I must prepare myself for the worst , but I won't give up hope , to be honest am worried , scared and my days confused me , but there is hope ,,,

could be blighted ovum.. i had in my first pregnancy....no bleeding ...no pain

Even when the test says 2-3 weeks pregnant, it doesn't mean that you will see a baby on the ultrasound. You are still very very early and won't be able to see the yolk sac until 5 weeks and the heart doesn't start beating until around 6 weeks. On all my early scans before 6 weeks, I never was able to see the baby, only the g/s and y/s. You just need to give it a couple of weeks. If you saw the gestational sac, then that is a good sign. I'm sure you will see the baby when you go back on the 15th.

Baby may still be very small and hard to see .As long as there is no bleeding that's a good sign. I pray all turns out well for you! Hugs
