Q: Rock and Play sleeper and Bouncer and Bassinette?

Hi all!

A first just told me for my shower gift she is getting me the fisher price rock n play sleeper. I already have a bassinette and am just wondering which is better for night sleeping and naps? Also I am wondering if a bouncer is still needed. We don't have one yet so I'm wondering if I should put that on the list of things we need. Also should we get a sing too? The rock and play seems to be all three in one but I am unsure. What works best for you? What do I really need?

I have a now 3 month old and she is still sleeping in her bassinet in our room. it great because it's on wheels and can be moved, I put her down in it for most day naps and she sleeps in it every night. I also have a swing that plays music and it was awesome when she was smaller would fall asleep in it, now tho only if she is really tired will she drop off in it! but was so happy to have it during the first few months!!

Hi! This is my first child, and she is expected to be here any day now. :) I have a co-sleeper, swing, rock n play, and a bouncer. I decided that her sleep and ours will be key and I will try all to find out which works best for her. I bought everything besides the rock n play (got it at our baby shower) second hand. I know that may not be an option for everyone, but I have read about all of them and heard ups and downs about each. Every baby is different, so you really never know! My solution is to try them all! Lol. I am happy to let you know what works best for us after we find out.
Good Luck!

All of my friends swear by the rock and play. They say that's the one piece of equipment they found easiest to help baby quiet down and sleep.

My daughter slept in the rock n play for 5 months! It was awesome and I would def recommend it. She is now sleeping in a mini cosleeper next to our bed.
