Q: sick everytime i eat.

Okay so this is my 4th pregnancy and every time I eat no matter what, how much or how little I just feel sooo sick and most of the time actually throw up, I've tried eating only the things I craved and that didn't change a thing. have you had this? and how did you cope with it?

My doctor recommended natural herbs ( smoking ) said they don't condone it but it does help. I say it keeps the cancer away also. I am now pregnant with my 2rd child. My other two kids were normal healthy babies who are now 15 and 5 . I say to each her own. We all have different beliefs and opinions on the situation. Soon it will be legal in all states.

I honestly don't know why someone would recommend street drugs for someone who is asking a question about morning sickness. However, there are NATURAL, LEGAL, SAFE, things you can take that won't 1)harm your unborn child, 2)land you in jail, or 3)have social services knock on your door. I had horrendous morning sickness with my 1st. So much so that I ended up losing 30 lbs throughout the first 20 wks. I only gained 9 lbs of it back by the time I delivered. I didn't take prescription meds or illegal drugs but I did do this: peppermint tea, peppermint candies, water with lemon, ginger snap cookies (the real spicy ones with real ginger), Sea Bands (you wear them on your wrist & can buy them at Walgreens), pretzels, Sprite, ginger ale, toast, saltines. Also, eat what you can stomach and hold down. Remember to stay hydrated. That is VITAL, esp since it is summer. Do not let your stomach get too empty. I hope some of this info helps!

Anyway, I know this is someone else's QUESTION and she wanted advice, not to be given illegal advice. So I have some to offer as I have been having the same problem, I've been reading a lot of natural ways to help it and a lot of people say peppermints, so I am going to try some, I will let you know how that goes. I am going to try eating the types of things I found online that is supposed to help, sometimes cravings are not the answer!! LOL my last pregnancy I ate a lot of things I craved and ended up throwing up shortly after. Try to think of something you can tolerate eating, that is healthy, most of the time healthy things won't make you throw up, but sometimes that's not the case, my last pregnancy every time I ate any type of fruit the acidic juices would make me throw up, and tomatoes, ketchup, anything containing tomatoes. It might take a while to get used to what makes you sick and what doesn't, and you may not always be in the mood for the things that don't make you sick..

Ok, how would you know that smoking cannabis in the early stages of pregnancy does nothing at all to your baby?? LOL you must be a scientist who studies this right?? And why wouldn't someone take something that's been prescribed to thousands of women for morning sickness?? That's been done way more testing on? At least taking something that is prescribed to you is not illegal!! It's funny how you say only in your early pregnancy have you smoked it because you know you could get in trouble for it later on, LOL well that's funny, so it's only okay when the doctors don't know about it. And by the way I live in Canada too!! As if that makes a difference!!

U might wanna look up the definition of prescription. Just becuz u dont walk in to a pharmacy and pick it up, doesnt mean that a physician didnt have to order the administration of it to/for u. Hence, prescription drug.

I really couldnt care less what u chose to do/did, or who grows/does the crap. I dont live in a bubble and Im far from being an idiot, so dont try to break ur petty shit down for me, and dont blame my beliefs (or anyone else's for that matter) on Reagan. U posted ur comment and made it known that it was ur opinion and not many would agree, then as soon as a cpl ppl dont jump on ur wagon, u lash out and start calling everyone uneducated and brainwashed. Seriously, she asked a f*cking question, u gave an answer, multiple times...move the f*ck on!

As for my language, bite me!

ps...you'd be surprised who grows and sells it and even smokes it. It's not just dirty street gangs. Professionals in high positions, teachers, etc. Anyhow, I'm done talking about this with people who don't understand it. I get why you feel angry about what I'm saying. People get upset about things they don't understand. Human nature.

I'm not against medicine. An epidural is hardly a "prescription drug". I do believe chemical medicine has its place in society as does cannabis. I'm not some hippy pot head here to preach. I offered a natural way to reduce your pain that is 100% effective. A small study was done with pregnant women who volunteered to try cannabis as relief for pain/vomitting and 92% said it was very effective and needed further study. But our government is so against it that they don't fund these studies. I'm saying we need to change the way we've been TAUGHT to think about Cannabis. It has a place in society and can actually be beneficial for things like cancer patients receiving chemo and AIDS victims and so much more if we could just stop thinking the way Regan told us to.
