Q: Any Luck In Using Evening Primrose Oil??

I have been doing research and wanted to know if any ladies have tried evening primrose oil and received good progress with it. I hear it speeds up the process of effacement. I'm 37 weeks exactly today and my last check was Thursday 7/10. Doctor said I was starting to soften and she could feel babies head but she didn't specify if I had dilated at all. So I purchased EPO and started using it Sunday 7/13. So I hope to have a good amount of progress when I go back 7/17.

-Any good EPO experiences??? If so, how long did it take?

I took EPO from 32 weeks up until I had my DD at 38 weeks and it seemed to do it's job. I had a quick drug free labour with no tearing or healing required. I dilated and effaced very quickly with no problems. My labor from start to finish was 1hr and 47mins! I am 100% sure is was from the EPO :). It won't make you go into labor but it will definitely do a good job in preparing your body for it! Good luck!!!

The only time I've used Primrose oil was when I was a teenager and was just starting to get my periods. I can't speak for any other uses for it, but it seemed to help with moderating the mood swings I had then.
