My sister is arranging a baby-shower-by-mail for me. The HUGE majority of everyone we know live out of state. She is sending out a card telling people where we are registered (this is our first, so we really need some help getting everything we need), and asking them to mail gifts to us by a certain date. Then, the ones who want to see us opening the gifts, we will arrange a Skype date with, so it's still personal, but nobody has to travel. Something to consider.

Alright, Thanks everyone for the answers. :) just a little worried that's all. I'm planning on talking to my doc about it when it gets a bit closer.

Wow. You have the same problem as i do. My in laws are throwing me one 8hrs away but i don't really wanna travel in my third trimester (it would be in June and I am due in July). I say do whatever you are comfortable with. Some women do it with no problems. I know a woman who had morning sickness her whole pregnancy so traveling was horrible for her.
