Q: Are my symptoms caused by my pregnancy, or just progesterone supplements?

Hello everyone! I am 5 weeks into my 5th pregnancy (the last four were all early miscarriages). This is the first time I have been put on progesterone suppositories, and from what I can tell, it seems to be working. I am having a lot of strong symptoms, which I never had in any of my previous pregnancies, which makes me hopeful. Dizziness, nausea, extreme "pass out if I don't eat NOW" hunger, increased watery cf, tiredness, sleeplessness, heavy sore bbs, and headaches now and then. My question is: how much much of these symptoms could just be the progesterone? I know progesterone can cause some of them that I listed according to the pharmacist, but I wondered if it would cause them to be so strong? Or if there is a site that describes what specifically causes each symptom? Thanks!

I was on progesterone as we did Ivf as well as 3 early miscarriages. It only made me tired and bloated..

I have had pregnancies both on and off progesterone. I have only been put on progesterone because I also had a history of early miscarriage after my first two children(no progesterone suppositories). I was able to have my third child last october (with progesterone) and am surprised with number 4 on the way. Anyways about your question, the only thing progesterone really does to me is to make me more tired. I have always read and agree that progesterone will exaggerate symptoms of pregnancy but does NOT create them. So what you are feeling probably means you have true pregnancy symptoms but they may just be worsened by the progesterone. Good luck with your pregnancy!
