Q: Ummmm water broke, I peed, or just baby playing around?

So I'm sitting at work when I feel what I'm describing as a popping sensation. It felt like somebodies fingers just poked me from the inside out. Kiiinda creepy sounding lol. But then right after that my panty liner is wet. I really don't think I peed. I mean, it could happen, but I really felt like I popped a balloon inside my cervix. Could it have been my water breaking and only coming out slowly? I have no idea what it smells like as I've been wearing this liner for a while now and it's been doing it's job :P I got up and walked around and didn't gush or anything, and sat back down and baby seems to be back to her normal spot. Anyone deal with anything like this before?

Hope things are good. When my waters broke having my son it smelt sweet but it did gush after leaking.
I was induced 3 times with him before the front waters had gone.
Just to remind everyone if you think you're waters has gone you must always phone in and tell them whats happened cause you may get an infection if you don't, water braking means it has started contractions or not.

Update : started getting contractions afterwards so we called and then went in to L&D. They said membranes were still in tact and my cervix was high and closed, but I was still contracting consistently so they gave me a small shot of terbutaline to stop them

When my water broke with my first,I never had a single contraction. It started out as a trickle, and then started to flow a lot more. When it broke with #2, it started as a tiny, tiny little gush & then bam! It was everywhere. It can happen a zillion different ways, but do get checked out. At 31 wks, it is not something to play around with.

thanks for the answer!
LOL I haven't had any contractions yet. We're like an hour away from my Dr. So I'm going to give L&D a call and see what they say. It's still wet down there, but trickling and no contractions. I'm only 31 weeks, so I'm thinking they'll say come in. Just wanted to see if anyone else had this :)

When my water broke it felt as though I heard a gunshot but my hubby looked at me as though I was crazy! Almost like a little kid popped a balloon right beside your ear! I then immediately stood up and there was only a tiny trickle of fluid that came out. I wasn't sure either. It was no were near what I had heard of 'water breaking'. Well needless to say I was on the floor in 5 mins in excruciating pain lol. Just go get checked out, it's much better to be safe then sorry! Good luck :)
