Q: Is it possible to transfer an embryo from one woman to another?

I am pregnant and I have had 6 miscarriages, one recently, and I am afraid of going through that again. Is it possible to transfer an embryo from me to someone else to carry for me, or is it only possible if it started in a lab?

As far as I have learnt it is not possible to transfer already implanted embryo in one woman to another. However, when the embryo fertilized in a lab, they can be injected into another woman that usually called surrogate mother.

Embryo transfer occurred in the process of assisted reproduction known as IVF in which you can see the photos of your growing embryos through embryoscope available on http://www.ilexmedical.com/products.php?id=130 .

But as your concern, there is no way to transfer already implanted embryo to another.

I've been through every kind of fertility treatment the past 3 years. I agree with the other posters that this can only be done in an embryology lab. They would have to harvest your eggs, then fertilize them with your husband's sperm, incubate them in the lab for a few days, then they could do a fresh transfer to a surrogate if she's in the right part of her cycle to become pregnant or they would freeze them and thaw when needed to transfer to the surrogate. If what you're asking is if you could conceive naturally, then remove the embryo from you and transfer to another woman, no this is absolutely not possible.

The embryo would be created in a lab from your egg and partners sperm. They wouldn't take an embryo from you. Once it's been implanted it can't be taken out and put someplace else. Plus when they do it in a lab they check for any chromosomal abnormalities.
