Q: Advice about spotting

I am 11.5 weeks pregnant and have been having some light brown spotting. At 10.5 weeks I heard a heartbeat of 145. I am away from home and regular midwife like 5 hours away. Should I go to the ER where I am and get checked out just in case? No real cramping just feels like stretching pains. But I am running to the bathroom every two seconds looking for bright red blood. Any advice?

I would get it checked out just to be on the safe side, even if it's brown. Sometimes the issue resolves on its own but sometimes it needs to be monitored. There are a few factors that could cause it and nearly all of them are nothing to worry about.
I know from personal experience that its not always worth ignoring blood just because its brown besides getting checked out is no hassle as they see you pretty quick in the ER because you're pregnant. Hope all is going well x

Personally, i wouldn't worry about it if it's just dark brown. Funky colored spotting is pretty normal. Unless it becomes red it's nothing to worry about. However, if you aren't that confident there's nothing wrong with going in. It's your baby - nothing is silly. Do what you gotta do momma :)
