I was two weeks past due and tried it before I was scheduled for an induction at the ok of my provider. I used their dosing instructions and not a thing happened. No contractions, not diarrhea, no tummy ache. I drank it with OJ, very cold and that helped with getting it down, if you decide to try it. I would definitely recommend checking with your provider before trying it, just to make sure it's safe for you/baby.

This always seems to be a touchy subject on countdown my pregnancy. Here is MY story though, took castor oil after a week of prolonged labor and being 3cm and 38 weeks. Water broke at 12.30am with no diarrhea or side effects and contractions started almost immediately after. Got to the hospital and was 8cm, had my DD at 2:12am all natural. This is my story but please keep in mind that everybody and pregnancy is different. Just giving you my story :)

My sister in laws sister did that and the whole time she was delivering her baby she had diarhea. She couldn't keep getting out of the bed and my sister in kale said it was horrible everyone kept having to wipe her as she tried to push out the baby. I strongly suggest avoiding it.

I wouldn't. I've seen in many people it cause the baby to poo inside before delivery, cause extremely bad tummy aches....I just wouldn't risk it.

I haven't and wouldn't, it's more likely to upset your stomach something awful then to bring on labour.
People started using it because a sign of impending labour was diarrhoea, so they took it to cause diarrhoea.
Some women say it worked for them but the majority just said it made them ill.
