Q: RELACTATION ADVICE....

My baby is 3 months old... first 1.5 months i used to breastfeed him and also gave him topfeed using bottle. Since last 1.5 months i was not able to breastfeed him. Now when i again want to start breastfeeding, he could not latch properly and start crying.
My milk supply is also very very low, only drops comes. pls advice, i want to feed him with my milk. help what to do

I would see a lactation consultant ASAP. If you haven't breastfed in 6 weeks, it may be hard to continue to breastfeed, as your body hasn't had any stimulation to do so. I would try pumping to see if you can start to build your supply. Try pumping for 10 minutes, take 20 minutes off and then back on for 10 minutes. Good luck.

It could be he has nipple confusion. This is when they prefer or has fully adjusted the bottle teet/nipple to your breast. It is much easier for baby to drink from a bottle so he stops latching to the breast.
You may have to start pumping into bottles to feed him as not all babies want to go back but for more detailed advice get in contact with The La Leche League. They are always happy to help on their website and even have local mums who are basically breastfeeding experts all over the world who you can call for advice.
