Q: Quickening at 14 weeks?

Hello ladies! I am currently 14.3 weeks into my pregnancy. Being that my firstborn, (and only other child), is 19 years old, it's safe to say it has been awhile since I've experienced the joys of pregnancy! With my daughter, I was much thinner, and didn't feel her movements until approximately 18 weeks along. I am now a bit larger, 5.4" 166lbs, but I'm pretty sure I've been feeling my baby moving. I thought initially that it may just be gas, but being that it I have felt popcorn popping from within for 3 days now, (only 3-4x a day, if that), I'm wondering if it could be?!?!?! It seems to happen when I lie down..? Is it too early? I know they say that women with more padding tend to not feel quickening until later on, and I don't want to get myself excited over gas! When have you ladies felt your little one's first movements?

it's bound to be baby.
with my 2nd started feeling her move at 12 weeks and this baby which is my 3rd I started to feel at 9 weeks so it's not too early at all for you,I'm now 21 weeks and been feeling him ever since then he's just got stronger with his movements.

Started feeling baby at 14 weeks when i was laying down, and then for sure knew it was baby a week later when the movements i was feeling just kept getting stronger and more frequent. I am 16 weeks now and feel baby quite often during that day.

I think it is possible! I felt this baby first move at 14 weeks and 4 days and I've had 2 other babies and I never felt movement until 18-19 weeks, so I know what it feels like to have those first flutters but this time I swore it was too early but the movements continued every day and now I'm 16 weeks and feeling baby even more often throughout the day, so I felt my baby move at 14 weeks as well. :) If you keep feeling it you will know it's not just gas! I was pretty certain though that it wasn't gas even at first because it was happening in the same general area and didn't seem to be above or below my uterus as gas would be, it was right under my belly button on either side, I started feeling little pokes at first and turned into strong flutters and movements. :)

Definitely could be quickening! :D
I am pregnant with my first and I felt her at 13-14 weeks. It was only once every couple days at that point but by 16 weeks it was an every single day thing <3

Thank you ladies :) Reading that other women are feeling their wee ones from very early on, has just gotten me so excited that I'm crying. Seriously...(crazy hormones!) I am just overwhelmed with gratitude and love! Thank you for your quick responses, and congratulations to you both as well. It's such a magical time, and I feel so blessed! xo

It is definitely possible, especially since this is not your first child, as you know what you are looking for and how fetal movement feels. I felt my first between 18-20 weeks, second around 14 weeks, and this one that I am currently pregnant with around 13-14 weeks. Don't doubt yourself, I'm sure that's what you are feeling <3

I felt my first at 17 weeks and this on at 12 weeks. I know I felt this one that early because it is the unmistakable multiple feelings in the same spot kind of movement (plus I don't pass gas afterwards lol) congrats, mama!
