Q: Puffy red area on areola?

I know that during pregnancy there can be alot of changes to breast. The past two weeks Ive experiences a puffy red area on my areola. It doesnt hurt but it's definitley raised from the remainder of the skin. Ive tried massaging the area, using an ice pack nothing works. I have my doctors appointment next Thursday so I will bring it up then has anyone experience anything similar?

I've not had this yet but I've heard of a Montgomery Tubercle that happens as the nipple needs more oil glands I think.
